So my mom was shopping at a thrift store today and got me these vintage wood mushroom salt and pepper shakers
Isn't my mom the best??
BTW I am not using a picture that I took. I still haven't figured out my camera yet. I really need to get working on it because I also have some Sunday school pictures on it that I need to get off as well.
Anyway, my summer is going pretty well. Sorry for the low amount of posts but I have been super busy this summer. Plus I was sick this last week and that didn't help much.
Hope everyone else is having a good summer!

Like you need another craft!!!
Happy Thursday everyone!
I was reading one of my favorite blogs, Blue Eyed Beauty Blog, and she said that she is going to be posting for a new blog called Refashion Co-op!
The lady who writes Blue Eyed Beauty Blog often blogs about all the re-fashions she has done. So I thought that this would be great to show those of you out there that like to craft and be fashionable.
Basically re-fashion is when you take an old garment, say that shirt that has gotten to be too small, and make it into something new, like a fancy vest or something.
I know it isn't like you really need more crafts to do, because I certainty don't but hey, it can't hurt to look. Right? Well...anyway, it might not hurt some of you but I thought that taking a peek at both of these could get those creative juices flowing. Whether or not you like to re-fashion clothing!
I just hope I don't spend to many hours on these sites. ;)

8 days
Oh my goodness! Has it really been 8 days since the last time I posted???
Sadly, yes.
So I am really sorry blog readers. Remember how I was talking about how lazy my summer had been. Well....let's just say that life got really REALLY busy last week.
Seriously, I can't believe what a crazy week I had last week. I normally only work 3-4 hr. a day Mon. thru Fri. but I had three 5 hour shifts in row. One of the ladies at work was sick and the bookmobile was going so we were super short. It was alright though, because it made the time go by faster, but we were busy.
Plus, I am not sure what is up with the weather here but people were CRANKY! With a capital C!
Anyway, I hope everybody else had a better week than I did. So a quick little update.
I am in this health and wellness class for the summer and we are supposed to set goals to accomplish. I have been setting weekly goals and they seem to be going pretty well. Last week, I set the goal of eating breakfast every day. I did pretty well. This week I am going to be eating at least one fruit or vegetable with every meal. I am doing pretty well on that but we ate out a couple of times and I forgot to eat a fruit/veggie then.
What about you? Do you have any goals you are trying to reach?
Well, got to go, but I am going to be posting again this week! ;)

Plan of the week
Hello! Welcome to a new week! Here is my list of things to do:
Read another book for drawing at library: they are giving away a tablet for patrons, and something else (I'm not sure what) for staff, but hey, I like to read anyway.
Post the book on Good Reads to get my name in the drawing: this site is as good as Pinterest if you like books. Seriously, I have already spent 30 minutes there, and I was just going to post a book.
Do homework for my two summer classes: Ugh!
Take Sunday School kids to the park on Monday: Which is today. Plus, I think we might go out for ice-cream. (Look out Artic Circle!)
Go to work: well this is a no brainer! ;)

Summer Nothingness
Augh! Where has the time gone? I have been out of school now for two weeks, plus I started summer classes, City Band has had its first concert, and the library has started the Bookmobile. But what major project or activity have I done? None!
I had good intentions, seriously I did. I was going to finish my aunt's baby gift, bling up some shoes, figure out my new camera. But have I done any of these things? Well....not really, at least I don't feel like I have finished anything.
I have just been so busy with work, school, and everything else. I don't even think that I have exercised like I wanted to. I have been standing up and walking around at work a lot though. (Does that make up for it?)
I don't plan on getting much done this weekend, since I will be working all of Saturday and doing Sunday school stuff on Sunday morning and evening. It isn't my turn to teach Children's Church during the evening this week, so I will get a little break.
In other news, last night was the first City Band concert. We played really well for our first concert. And surprise, surprise the weather was actually nice. Usually the first concert is cold, windy, and possibly rainy. You really never know what the first concert is going to be like. This year in the band we have a lot of people. It is really nice though because you get a really rich sound. Unfortunately, Mr. Hadley says that it is too many. We have a new lady in the drum section that is the wife of one of the other drummers. She is really nice and sweet. She is amazing at the bells and mallets section (for those of you who don't play in band that is the instrument that sounds kind of like a piano). She is a little timid though, and needs to just realize how great she is. I used to be that way but I took a note (pun intended ;) ) from my dad. He said "A note played at the correct time with out any confidence will sound as bad as a note that isn't supposed to be there. And, most people won't know if a note is played at the wrong time, if you play it with confidence." And you know what, he was right!
Any who, it is about time for me to head out for my first day on the bookmobile. See ya!

Yes, I am loved!!!
Today I was getting ready for Sunday School, and was cleaning out my busy boxes (a really fun craft, and easy toy, by the way). While I was doing this I found a little piece of paper on one of the boxes. On it was a little note from one of the Sunday school kids. It said "I love you."
I was like "Awwwww......". When all the kids got there I asked Lamonie if he was the one who had left me the note. I figured that it was him since he is the only one that goes to school and knows how to write. He said that yes, he was the one to wrote it. So, I told him that I would keep it in my wallet so that I would never lose it.
Super sweet. I don't know about you guys but my Sunday is totally awesome!
